How WEBPilot works

Six steps, from creating your account to understanding why your traffic changed. None of them requires you to be a developer.

  1. Create your account Available now

Sign up with your name, e-mail and company or project name. The free plan doesn't ask for a credit card.

  2. Add your website Available now

Type the website name and its domain, for example mystore.com. Choose the main language and the time zone, so daily numbers follow your business day.

  3. Install the tracking script In development

You will get one line of code to paste into the head section of your site. On WordPress, Shopify or Wix this is done in the theme settings or with a plugin for header code. This step will be enabled when data collection launches.

  4. Follow your website traffic In development

Once the script is in place, visits start to appear in the dashboard: how many people came, where they came from and which pages they opened.

  5. Record important changes Available now

Whenever you do something that may affect traffic, add an entry to the strategy log. For example: "Published guide on delivery times", "Raised Google Ads budget" or "Changed homepage headline". It takes less than a minute.

  6. Compare results over time In development

Put two periods side by side and look at the entries recorded between them. That is usually where the explanation is.

A tip before you start

Start the strategy log even before tracking is available. Write down the last few important changes you remember, with approximate dates. A history that starts early is far more useful than a perfect one that starts late.
